Investing in information security
At Plate, we take the security of your data seriously, not as a checkbox exercise, but as an integral part of how we work. We are currently working towards ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management.
What does that mean in practice?
We have a full information security management system (ISMS) in place, which covers:
- How we manage and periodically review access to systems and data
- How we identify and structurally assess risks
- How we handle security incidents, from reporting through to follow-up
- How we assess our suppliers and partners on their security posture
- How we train and raise awareness among our employees on information security
All of this is subject to internal review and continuous improvement, as we prepare for the formal certification audit in September 2026.
A European cloud environment
As you probably know, we recently migrated our infrastructure to a European cloud environment, located in the Netherlands. This gives us direct control over where your data is processed, who can access it, and how our infrastructure is managed, supporting data protection requirements and reducing dependency on infrastructure outside the Netherlands. It's a concrete step that underlines our commitment to the security and integrity of your data.
Why this matters to you
Whether you're a customer, partner, or prospect, you want to know that the organization behind your software handles data and continuity with care. By already working in line with the ISO 27001 standards, and by hosting your data in the Netherlands, we make sure security isn't an afterthought, but is built into our processes and infrastructure from the ground up.
